What is hypnosis? Hypnosis is a method by which any
person may be guided into an altered state of conscious awareness
(hypnotic trance) in which psychological and physical changes, beyond
normal conscious capability, may be achieved.
What is hypnotherapy? Once a person is placed into a
hypnotic trance, the Hypnotherapist speaks directly to the subconscious
mind and replaces old patterns and conditioning with new ideas and
positive thoughts to create the changes you desire.
What is
Quantum Pain Therapy? This
specialised type of hypnotherapy offers sufferers of chronic pain,
total relief by switching off the pain you are feeling. Success from
this treatment is almost immediate, and many types of pain can be
treated from short term e.g. tooth ache to long term suffering such as
back ache etc.
What is NLP? NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming
and was developed from the study of neurology, linguistics, and
behavioural patters which led to a set of therapeutic techniques
being created which allows a person to bring positive changes to
their life very quickly.
How does NLP work? Everything
we do in our life, from emotions, behaviours, strategies, even
things we like, are stored in our
minds in very specific patterns using pictures, sounds and feelings.
By applying NLP techniques these patterns can be altered to create
new emotions, behaviours, desires etc.
Are hypnotherapy and NLP safe? Yes, they are totally safe when
carried out by a qualified Practitioner. You remain in control at all
times, you can not be forced to say, do, or accept anything that you
are not comfortable with. In fact, when in hypnosis you can choose to enter or leave
the hypnotic state at anytime, and you will not get stuck in a
hypnotic trance!
What does hypnosis feel like? The experience is different for
each person. However, most people find hypnosis a pleasant state of
deep inner calm and relaxation, and upon waking feel rested, relaxed and
refreshed.
How does hypnosis work? The medical and science world are
still not completely sure. All that is known is that by entering a
hypnotic trance the conscious mind is bypassed allowing a gateway to
the subconscious.
Can
anyone be hypnotized?
Yes; the few exceptions are those who have learning difficulties,
those with senility, very young children and addicts under the
influence of their addiction.
How does a consultation work? The therapist
will review your medical history and gain a thorough understanding of your
symptoms, what you want to achieve, and how you will know when
you have achieved it. After they have completed
the assessment, they will then advise on the plan to create the
positive changes you require.
What are
the fees?
The initial
consultation is £30, and then the
cost of each treatment is based upon the following:
standard session rate, referral rate, group bookings, and
specific treatment rates; please contact me for further
details.
What are Group Bookings? These
are group hypnosis sessions normally held on an evening or
weekends for treatment on a specific problem e.g. weight
loss or smoking cessation. They are extremely cost effective
ways of receiving treatment to create change; please
contact me for further details.
How many sessions will I need? It is
impossible to accurately gauge how many sessions are required,
but you should expect to start seeing change after the first
couple of sessions. Some treatments, such as phobic
responses (even the most severe!), are nearly always treated
in a maximum of two sessions.
How do I select the right Therapist?
When you contact the therapist make sure: a)
they are properly qualified, b) they are sympathetic to your problem,
c) you feel
comfortable with their approach and manor and d) they have
been thoroughly
trained in the area(s) in which you wish to be treated.
